Powder
Coating is our primary Finishing System.
Powder Coatings Sprays as a solid (think Baby
Powder) not a liquid. The System puts an electrical charge on the Powder and
Grounds the part being coated. This attracts the Powder to stick on the metal.
Once an even layer is applied, everything is baked. During the baking process,
the Powder converts to a Liquid and then a solid while undergoing a Chemical
Curing process that results in a beautiful, durable, and flexible coating. The
Curing process is not really drying like Liquid Paint. Curing is a chemical
reaction that results in the final completely transformed coating. Oakland
Signcraft utilizes industry leading Metal Preparation techniques including Sand
Blasting and Chemical Treatmeants to prepare the bare metal, appropriate
Primers depending on where the part will live, Topcoat and sometimes a Clear Coat
as a complete system to achieve the look and long life. At Oakland Signcraft we
use our State of the Art Powdercoat Systems on a wide variety of things besides
